Yes, avocados are actually a fruit, and they wanted to see if they improved these symptoms.

And indeed, it did.

So what can avocados do?

– Lower cholesterol levels. 

This includes bad cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides, and total cholesterol.

– It improves hypertension, or high blood pressure. 

Left untreated, this condition can lead to heart disease, so controlling it is paramount to your health.

– It also slims you down. 

And in a specific way too. People who ate avocados regularly were more likely to weigh less and have a slimmer waistline.

As a caveat, however, this isn’t a license to overindulge.

Avocados are rich in good fats and calories, which are good for satiating your hunger–but in excess, can lead to weight gain.
